Cymatic Applications

....... The following is a partial list of ailments or conditions that individuals have experienced marked improvement in their condition when treated with CymaTherapy. One needs to remember that CymaTherapy does not cure or heal, CymaTherapy supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself by providing precise combinations of frequencies that are associated with healthy tissue and organ systems. CymaTherapy assists your body to provide itself with effective and gentle relief for stress, injury, chronic pain and many other conditions.

Ankylosing Spondylitis Support- AS
....... Ankylosing Spondylitis (pronounced ank-kih-low-sing spon-dill-eye-tiss), or AS, is a form of arthritis that primarily affects the spine, although other joints can become involved. It causes inflammation of the spinal joints (vertebrae) that can lead to severe, chronic pain and discomfort. In the most advanced cases (but not in all cases), this inflammation can lead to new bone formation on the spine, causing the spine to fuse in a fixed, immobile position, sometimes creating a forward-stooped posture. This forward curvature of the spine is called kyphosis. AS can also cause inflammation, pain and stiffness in other areas of the body such as the shoulders, hips, ribs, heels and small joints of the hands and feet. Sometimes the eyes can become involved and rarely, the lungs and heart can be affected. The hallmark feature of ankylosing spondylitis is the involvement of the sacroiliac (SI) joints during the progression of the disease, which are the joints at the base of the spine, where the spine joins the pelvis.

Anxiety Support

Arnold Chiari Syndrome
....... The disorder known as the Arnold-Chiari Syndrome is a defect in the formation of the lower area of the brain stem. The malformation may take the form of having too small a medulla or pons, the brain stem being displaced, or some of the nerve fibers falling into the spinal canal and causing blockage. This defect in the formation of the brain stem may prevent brain fluid from passing freely from around the brain into the spinal canal. The brain stem is located between the cerebrum and the spinal cord. Typically, the cerebellum tissue extends into the spinal cord region. Because of this defect in the formation of the brain stem, which may also involve the pons and the medulla, an obstruction may prevent information from passing freely from around the brain into the spinal canal. The information that the cerebellum transmits to the body is in three areas: maintenance of equilibrium and balance, regulation of muscle tension and coordination of limb movements. Infants born with this disorder may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, mental impairment and weakness. There may possibly be paralysis of the limbs. The presence of Arnold-Chiari Syndrome in adolescents is generally a milder form. Dizziness, weakness of the legs, headaches, double vision, or deafness may be present. Swelling of the optic (pertaining to the eye) nerve region, involuntary rapid movement of the eyeball, muscular incoordination, palsies (uncontrolled shaking or trembling), and abnormal sensations felt by the patient may also occur.

Arthritis Support
....... While often referred to as if it were a single disease, arthritis is actually an umbrella term used for a group of more than 100 medical conditions that collectively affect nearly 46 million adults and 300,000 children in America alone. While the most common form of arthritis - osteoarthritis (OA) - is most prevalent in people over 60, arthritis in its various forms can start as early as infancy. Some forms affect people in their young-adult years as they are beginning careers and families and still others start during the peak career and child-rearing years.
....... The common thread among these 100-plus conditions is that they all affect the musculoskeletal system and specifically the joints - where two or more bones meet. Arthritis-related joint problems include pain, stiffness, inflammation and damage to joint cartilage (the tough, smooth tissue that covers the ends of the bones, enabling them to glide against one another) and surrounding structures. Such damage can lead to joint weakness, instability and visible deformities that, depending on the location of joint involvement, can interfere with the most basic daily tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, using a computer keyboard, cutting your food or brushing your teeth.

Asthma Support
....... Asthma occurs when the main air passages of your lungs, the bronchial tubes, become inflamed. The muscles of the bronchial walls tighten, and cells in the lungs produce extra mucus further narrowing your airways. This can cause minor wheezing to severe difficulty in breathing. In some cases, your breathing may be so labored that an asthma attack becomes life-threatening. Asthma is a chronic but treatable condition.

Back Support

Bone Spur/Bone Hypertophy Support
....... Bone spurs, also called osteophytes, are bony projections that develop along the edges of bones. The bone spurs themselves aren't painful, but they can rub against nearby nerves and bones and cause pain. Bone spurs can form on any bone, and they often form where bones meet each other — in your joints. But, they can also be found where ligaments and tendons connect with bone. Bone spurs can also form on the bones of your spine.

Bruise Support

Burn Support

Bursitis
....... Bursitis - Whether you're at work or at play, if you overuse or repetitively stress your body's joints, you may eventually develop a painful inflammation called bursitis. You have more than 150 bursae in your body. These small, fluid-filled sacs lubricate and cushion pressure points between your bones and the tendons and muscles near your joints. They help your joints move with ease. Bursitis occurs when a bursa becomes inflamed. When inflammation occurs, movement or pressure is painful. Bursitis often affects the joints in your shoulders, elbows or hips. But you can also have bursitis by your knee, heel and the base of your big toe. Bursitis pain usually goes away within a few weeks or so with proper treatment, but recurrent flare-ups of bursitis are common.

Cartilage/Meniscal Support

Cauda Equina Syndrome Support – CES
.......
The spinal cord ends near the first lumbar vertebra in the lower back, forming the conus medullaris. The fibrous extension of the spinal cord is the filum terminale. The bundle of nerve roots below the conus medullaris is named the cauda equine. Compression or inflammation of the nerve roots can cause symptoms of pain, altered reflexes, decreased strength, and decreased sensation. Although these symptoms can become severe, and in some cases disabling, most are self-limiting and respond to conservative care. An extreme version of nerve compression or inflammation is Cauda Equina Syndrome. Cauda equina syndrome is a serious condition caused by compression of the nerves in the lower portion of the spinal canal. Cauda equina syndrome is considered a surgical emergency because if left untreated it can lead to permanent loss of bowel and bladder control and paralysis of the legs.

Chakra Balance Support
....... Inside every human being there is a network of nerves and sensory organs that interprets the outside physical world. At the same time, within us resides a subtle system of channels (nadis) and centers of energy (chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual being. There is discussion as to how many chakras a person has, the accepted version lists seven, other versions list nine or more.
Chakra Balance Support with Color

Chronic Fatigue Support
....... Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a complicated disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that doesn't improve with bed rest and may worsen with physical or mental activity. Chronic fatigue syndrome may occur after an infection, such as a cold or viral illness. The onset can be during or shortly after a time of great stress, or chronic fatigue syndrome come on gradually without a clear starting point or obvious cause.

Depression Support
....... Depression is now known to be related to a lack of dopamine or serotonin, neurotransmitters which create a sense of upliftment and happiness. Another way of looking at it is that depression is a lowered energy state where neurological responses become sluggish and the persons life force is diminished. CymaTherapy may help to support those suffering from depression by bombarding the ear and brain with mega doses of high frequency sounds, or high energy vibrations, which may help to lift the listener's state of vitality. It is possible that CymaTherapy may stimulate the brain to begin producing some of the neurotransmitters that create positive emotional states. It is common for CymaTherapy clients to report greater states of wellbeing, happiness, and an end to depressed feelings.

Diabetes Support
....... Type 1 diabetes, once known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar (glucose) into energy. Although type 1 diabetes can develop at any age, it typically appears during childhood or adolescence. Type 2 diabetes is a similar — although much more common — condition in which the body becomes resistant to the effects of insulin or the body produces some, but not enough, insulin to maintain a normal blood sugar level.

Dupuytren’s Contracture Support
....... Dupuytren's contracture is a rare hand deformity in which the connective tissue (fascia) under the skin of the palm thickens and scars. Knots (nodes) and cords of tissue form under the skin, often pulling one or more of the fingers into a bent (contracted) position. Though the fingers affected by Dupuytren's contracture bend normally, they can't be straightened, making it difficult to use your hand. Dupuytren's contracture complicates everyday activities such as placing your hands in your pockets, putting on gloves or shaking hands. Dupuytren's contracture is rarely painful, though sometimes the bumps of tissue on your palm can be sensitive to touch. Men are more likely than women to develop Dupuytren's contracture. It's more common in older adults, usually developing in people in their 50s and 60s. Dupuytren's contracture is more common in whites of Northern European heritage.

Edema/Effusion/Swelling Support
....... Edema is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues. Although edema can affect any part of your body, it's most commonly noticed in your hands, arms, feet, ankles and legs. Edema can be the result of underlying medical conditions, certain medications or pregnancy.
Emotional Stress Support
....... Stress is what happens when fear or anxiety become a constant state. The physiological effects include contracted muscles, increased heart rate and constricted breathing. The adrenal system is over taxed and blood pressure rises. Stress interferes with the body's natural flow of energy. It cuts down our available energy and forces us to function on adrenaline. Cymatic Therapy reduces the build up of stress beyond the level that is healthy for the body. The brain is calmed so obsessive thinking and mind chatter is reduced. A state that is closer to meditation can be achieved easily and retained throughout the day. CymaTherapy may help to reduce stress by replenishing brain energy with high frequency sound. When we have enough brain energy we can handle situations more easily and there is less need for stress. CymaTherapy users report that they can deal better with demanding situations requiring multi-tasking and fast responses but can feel serene while doing it.

Erectile Dysfunction Support – ED
....... Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability of a man to maintain a firm erection long enough to have sex. Although erectile dysfunction is more common in older men, this common problem can occur at any age. Having trouble maintaining an erection from time to time isn't necessarily a cause for concern. But if the problem is ongoing, it can cause stress and relationship problems and affect self-esteem.

Eye Support

Fibromyalgia
.......
You hurt all over, and you frequently feel exhausted. Even after numerous tests, your doctor can't find anything specifically wrong with you. If this sounds familiar, you may have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by widespread pain in your muscles, ligaments and tendons, as well as fatigue and multiple tender points — places on your body where slight pressure causes pain. Fibromyalgia is more common in women than in men. Previously, fibromyalgia was known by other names such as fibrositis, chronic muscle pain syndrome, psychogenic rheumatism and tension myalgias. Although the intensity of your symptoms may vary, they'll probably never disappear completely. It may be reassuring to know, however, that fibromyalgia isn't progressive or life-threatening. Treatments and self-care steps can improve fibromyalgia symptoms and your general health.

Frozen Shoulder Support
....... Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in your shoulder joint. As the condition worsens, your shoulder's range of motion becomes markedly reduced. Frozen shoulder usually affects one shoulder at a time, although some people may eventually develop frozen shoulder in the opposite shoulder.

Fracture Support

Gall Bladder Support

Hernia Support
....... A hernia occurs when one part of the body protrudes through a gap or opening into another part. A hiatal hernia forms at the opening in your diaphragm where your food pipe (esophagus) joins your stomach. Part of the stomach pushes through this opening causing a hiatal hernia. Inguinal hernias occur when soft tissue, usually part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak point or tear in your lower abdominal wall. The resulting bulge of this common condition can be painful, especially when you cough, bend over or lift a heavy object.

High Blood Pressure Support
...... You can have high blood pressure (hypertension) for years without a single symptom. But silence isn't golden. Uncontrolled high blood pressure increases your risk of serious health problems, including heart attack and stroke. Blood pressure is determined by the amount of blood your heart pumps and the amount of resistance to blood flow in your arteries. The more blood your heart pumps and the narrower your arteries, the higher your blood pressure. High blood pressure typically develops without signs or symptoms. And it affects nearly everyone eventually. If you don't have high blood pressure by age 55, you have a 90 percent chance of developing it at some point in your life, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Immune System Suppport

Kallmann’s Syndrome Support

....... Kallmann’s Syndrome is a rare disorder which affects predominantly men. Typical characteristics are a failure to go through puberty and an absent sense of smell. Although not life-threatening, someone with this syndrome has a hormonal imbalance because a small area of his or her brain, the hypothalamus, is unable to work correctly. Specialized hormone replacement therapy is available to treat absent puberty, but there is no cure for a lack of sense of smell.

Liver and Kidney Support

Lyme Disease Support
....... One sign of Lyme disease is a rash, which may appear 3 to 30 days after a tick bite. This rash, called erythema migrans (say: "ear-a-theem-a my-granz"), usually starts at the site of the tick bite. It may begin as a small red spot and grow larger. The center may fade, creating a "bull's eye" or ring appearance, but this is not always the case. Some people with Lyme disease have many red spots. The rash may burn, hurt or itch, or you may not feel it. Other symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, chills, headaches, stiff neck, fatigue, muscle aches and joint pain. In a few people, early Lyme disease can spread to the heart or the nervous system. If Lyme disease spreads to the heart, the person may feel an irregular or slow heartbeat. Early spread of Lyme disease to the nervous system can cause the face to droop (a condition called Bell's palsy).

Menopause Support
.......
Menopause, or the permanent end of menstruation and fertility, is a natural biological process, not a medical illness. Even so, the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause can disrupt your sleep, sap your energy and at least indirectlytrigger feelings of sadness and loss. Hormonal changes cause the physical symptoms of menopause, but mistaken beliefs about the menopausal transition are partly to blame for the emotional ones. First, menopause doesn't mean the end is near you've still got as much as half your life to go. Second, menopause will not snuff out your femininity and sexuality. In fact, you may be one of the many women who find it liberating to stop worrying about pregnancy and periods.

Multiple Sclerosis Support
.......
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, potentially debilitating disease that affects your central nervous system, which is made up of your brain and spinal cord. Multiple sclerosis is widely believed to be an autoimmune disease, a condition in which your immune system attacks components of your body as if they're foreign. In multiple sclerosis, the body mistakenly directs antibodies and white blood cells against proteins in the myelin sheath, a fatty substance that insulates nerve fibers in your brain and spinal cord. This results in inflammation and injury to the sheath and ultimately to the nerves that it surrounds. The result may be multiple areas of scarring (sclerosis). Eventually, this damage can slow or block the nerve signals that control muscle coordination, strength, sensation and vision.

Mumps/Parotid Gland/Support
....... Mumps is a viral infection that primarily affects the parotid glands — one of three pairs of salivary glands, located below and in front of your ears. If you or your child contracts mumps, it can cause swelling in one or both parotid glands.

Muscle Twitches and Spasm Support

Atrophy/Injury/Strain Support

Nerve Injury Support

Osteoporosis Support

....... Osteoporosis, which means "porous bones," causes bones to become weak and brittle, so brittle that even mild stresses like bending over, lifting a vacuum cleaner or coughing can cause a fracture. In most cases, bones weaken when you have low levels of calcium, phosphorus and other minerals in your bones. A common result of osteoporosis is fractures, most of them in the spine, hip or wrist. Although it's often thought of as a women's disease, osteoporosis also affects many men.

Oxygenation Support

Parkinson’s Disease Support
.......
Parkinson's disease is a disorder that affects nerve cells in the part of the brain controlling muscle movement.People with Parkinson's disease often experience trembling, muscle rigidity, difficulty walking, problems with balance and slowed movements. These symptoms usually develop after age 60, although some people affected by Parkinson's disease are younger than age 50.Parkinson's disease is progressive, meaning the signs and symptoms become worse over time. But although Parkinson's disease may eventually be disabling, the disease often progresses gradually, and most people have many years of productive living after a diagnosis.

Personal Growth Support

Pituitary/Testosterone Support

Plantar Fasciitis Support
....... Do your first few steps out of bed in the morning cause severe pain in your heel? Or does your heel hurt after jogging or playing tennis? Most commonly, heel pain is caused by inflammation of the plantar fascia, the tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. The condition is called plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis). Plantar fasciitis causes stabbing or burning pain that's usually worse in the morning because the fascia tightens (contracts) overnight. Once your foot limbers up, the pain of plantar fasciitis normally decreases, but it may return after long periods of standing or after getting up from a seated position. In most cases, you can overcome the pain of plantar fasciitis without surgery or other invasive treatments. And you can take steps to prevent plantar fasciitis from recurring.

Psoriasis Support
....... Psoriasis is a common skin disease that affects the life cycle of skin cells. Normally, new cells take about a month to move from the lowest skin layer where they're produced, to the outermost layer where they die and flake off. With psoriasis, the entire life cycle takes only days. As a result, cells build up rapidly, forming thick silvery scales and itchy, dry, red patches that are sometimes painful. Psoriasis is a persistent, long-lasting (chronic) disease. You may have periods when your psoriasis symptoms improve or go into remission alternating with times your psoriasis becomes worse. For some people, psoriasis is just a nuisance. For others, it's disabling, especially when associated with arthritis. No cure exists, but psoriasis treatments may offer significant relief.
Sciatica Support
......The longest nerve in your body, the sciatic nerve runs from your pelvis through your buttock and hip area and down the back of each leg. It controls many of the muscles in your lower legs and provides feeling to your thighs, legs and feet. The term "sciatica" refers to pain that radiates along the path of this nerve — from your back into your buttock and leg. Sciatica isn't a disorder in and of itself. Instead, it's a symptom of another problem involving the nerve, such as a herniated disorder.

Shoulder Support

Sinus Support

Snoring Support

Spinal Stenosis Support

....... Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of one or more areas in your spine, most often in your upper or lower back. This narrowing can put pressure on the spinal cord or on the nerves that branch out from the compressed areas. This can lead to a number of problems, depending on which nerves are affected. In general, spinal stenosis can cause cramping, pain or numbness in your legs, back, neck, shoulders or arms; a loss of sensation in your extremities; and sometimes problems with bladder or bowel function.

Strained/Sprained Ligament Support

Strained/Sprained Teendon Support

Stroke Support
....... A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of your brain is interrupted or severely reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Within a few minutes, brain cells begin to die. Stroke is a medical emergency. Prompt treatment of a stroke could mean the difference between life and death. Early treatment can also minimize damage to your brain and potential disability. In the United States, stroke is a leading cause of adult disability and the third-leading cause of death; only heart disease and cancer cause more deaths annually.
....... After a stroke or brain damage caused by injury there is always a chance of recovery to varying degrees. CymaTherapy is an intervention which may increase the probability of a faster and more total recovery. The sooner it is introduced after the injury or stroke, the greater the likelihood of healing. Some stroke patients who use CymaTherapy have been seen to make an unexpectedly quick recovery, often with functioning returned to a surprisingly high level.
....... After stroke or brain damage the brain is faced with having to develop new pathways or reroute information to compensate for the damaged area. CymaTherapy may be effective in helping to create new brain pathways and reforming essential connections between more distant parts of the brain. The complex, multilayered harmonic and melodic information within the Cyma frequencies stimulates many parts of the brain, helping to engender a form and structure which assists with various forms of sensory processing.
....... CymaTherapy may improve integration in the cerebellum, an area near the brain stem which controls many automatic functions and overall sensory and motor integration. The filtering which causes sudden bursts of high frequency sounds may stimulate increased firing of neurons. When a neuron fires, it sends a message to other neurons in both chemical and electrical form. Often the process of firing off a message also creates new interneuronal connections called dendrites or axons. This means that using CymaTherapy may help the body build new brain connections, increasing the neural network, exactly what is needed to recover from a stroke.

Surgical Incision Support

Tarlov or Perineurial Cysts Support

....... Tarlov Cysts or TC’s are also known as perineural or sacral nerve root cysts. They are dilations of the nerve root sheaths and are abnormal sacs filled with cerebrospinal fluid that can cause a progressively painful nerve pain. They are located mostly at the S2, S3 level of the sacrum and less commonly at the S1. The sacrum is a fused triangle shaped bone forming the base of the spine.

Tinnitus Support
....... Ringing. Buzzing. Roaring. Whooshing. Chirping. Beating. Humming. While you may enjoy these sounds in nature, they're no fun when they're coming from inside your own head. Head noise, or ringing in your ears (tinnitus), is common. Millions of people have some degree of tinnitus. For some of them, the ringing in their ears is distressing enough for them to seek medical help. But, tinnitus isn't a disease. It's a symptom that can be caused by a number of medical conditions. Tinnitus may be the result of age-related hearing loss or ear injury, or it may be an indication of a disease of your circulatory system.

Tendonitis Support
.......
Tendonitis - Sometimes the tendons become inflamed for a variety of reasons, and the action of pulling the muscle becomes irritating. If the normal smooth gliding motion of your tendon is impaired, the tendon will become inflamed and movement will become painful. This is called tendonitis, and literally means inflammation of the tendon.

Tenosynovitis Support
....... Tenosynovitis is inflammation of the lining of the sheath that surrounds a tendon (the cord that joins muscle to bone). The synovium is a lining of the protective sheath that covers tendons. Tenosynovitis refers to inflammation of this sheath. The cause of the inflammation may be unknown, or it may result from injury, overuse, strain, or infection. The wrists, hands, and feet are areas that are commonly affected, although it may occur with any tendon sheath.

Tension Myositis Syndrome Support
....... TMS is actually our brain and body's way of helping us out. It's a way of taking attention away from the negative feelings and directing it toward a physical pain or another medical symptom. Through the autonomic nervous system, the brain initiates physiological changes, and painful symptoms develop soon after. And usually the symptoms are so painful and distressing that it's impossible to focus on anything else, including the feelings of inadequacy. Of course no one wants to be in physical pain. But on a deep-down unconscious level, we usually believe that it's easier (and certainly more socially acceptable) to deal with physical pain than it is to experience the horrible feelings of unworthiness. This is a very important point to understand about TMS--the pain serves a purpose. It works as a distraction.

Thyroid Support

Temporo-Mandibular Joint Support – TMJ

....... TMJ Dysfunction pain may be sharp and searing, occurring each time you swallow, yawn, talk, or chew, or it may be dull and constant. It hurts over the joint, immediately in front of the ear, but pain can also radiate elsewhere. It often causes spasms in the adjacent muscles that are attached to the bones of the skull, face, and jaws. Then, pain can be felt at the side of the head (the temple), the cheek, the lower jaw, and the teeth.
